Being a little overweight is understandable in certain circumstances. But being a fully grown adult and fat is pathetic. You are old enough to make the right decisions for your health everyday. It’s not that hard to stop taking in thousands of calories.

As someone who has lost a lot of weight recently… people don’t understand that it’s the QUALITY of the food they eat not just calories. And sugar intake! Greasy, shitty food is gonna make you gain weight and usually is packed with sugar and calories. Eat more protein, GRILLED chicken, and fish. Then drink more WATER not fucking coke, lemonade, or any other sugary drink.

Aight, as a very fit individual who's been skinny my whole life, this take is so bad. Idk why everyone yaps about overweight ppl and no one yaps about the skeletons that walk among us. Most of the overweight ppl I've known have actually been significantly healthier than the skinnier ppl I've known (including me until recently). Morbid obesity though, yeah, can be just as bad as malnourishment.

Idk why people don't understand that the degree to which it's a choice varies a lot from person to person

When I was full blown anorexic, dying, ppl would always compliment me and tell me how fit i looked 🙄 even like two days before i was hospitalized w a feeding tube

Plus MANY overweight ppl have genetic issues or health issues and whatnot that lead to difficulty losing weight, and/or cause them to naturally cling to fat/build fat stores very quickly

To an extent yeah, but you are never going to be morbidly obese due to genetics.

It’s also just so weird to kick people while they’re down. A lot of overweight people are aware of their body and want to change, or have already started making changes to lose weight, some people are struggling with mental health or medical conditions that got them there in the first place… why do we have to be so mean to each other for things that don’t affect other people

DEADASS. I think it's people's own intense personal fears of being/becoming fat so they take it out on fat ppl. Kinda like how some ppl with intense fears of aging are awful towards old ppl.
