Me but genders flipped. Her dad is stupid wealthy. I had to go to college on all scholarships cause my parents make too much for financial aid, and not enough to help pay for anything. She couldn’t fathom the fact that I didn’t see hardly any movies in theatres. As a kid. And went to school every day with a PBJ sandwich and knock off coll ranch Doritos

HELLO REAL SHIT! His entire college is paid for meanwhile I’ve got 3 jobs to keep up with the bills since I’m paying out of pocket. (FAFSA fucked my ass and my credit score was a 4 😭💔)

are we……the same? moms a teacher, dads a cop, they make basically nothing and both of his parents basically run the hospital in our town. they would eat out like 4 or 5 times a week, they were always going to see movies, doing something fun like every weekend. both his little brothers have the newest phone and ipad it’s just genuinely insane to me because i had NOTHING. and he’s like in awe that i’ve never done anything like what he’s done. he’s watched all these movies i’ve never even seen.

Yes! It’s the assumptions that I did everything she did as a kid that gets me the most lol. It’s also intimidating since she’s used to that lifestyle and I don’t think I’ll ever make the money her dad makes being a therapist 😅

and been to the theater so much and surprised i haven’t. but like bro…yk my parents and their jobs as well as how little they make. i have NEVER had the life you had and i wont, but honestly he’s providing me that life slowly and making sure we can always do fun things.

right, like i wish i could make that much but unfortunately i feel the need to be a teacher and he wants to be a pharmacist which is fine but our kids probably won’t have the life he did growing up because i won’t make near as much he will. the assumption that i did everything because he did is crazy but lowkey my parents did the best they could for me and my siblings. he also spent the first like 10 years of his life as an only child tbh sooooo
