i can literally back up my professional opinion with studies and case studies and people will still argue that i’m wrong bc they’ve read stuff on the internet that doesn’t align. it’s almost like anyone can say anything on the internet

keep in mind my professional opinions that im taking about are you should shampoo your hair often and blow dry it. you wouldn’t think that would be controversial but people on the internet decided they all want to be contrarian and make shit up that doesn’t work and everyone falls for it for some reason. so many people’s problems with their hair can be solved with more shampoo and blowdrying after but you’d think i’d told them to shoot their grandma to mars.

the overwhelmingly most common things i tell people to help them with their hair: shampoo more often or use a stronger shampoo more often including shampooing multiple times in succession, use gel or foam to style their textured hair, then use a hairdryer. it’s not that complicated and idk how people are missing the basics. instead they’re worried about porosity and moisture/ protein balance and making it so convoluted for no reason. wash, style, dry and i promise it’ll work out

I saw a post on instagram on how this isn’t true. Your generalization is false.

i’m a hairdresser that gives a lot of free advice on the internet lol. you’d think people would appreciate me donating my time and effort after spending $25k on my education but they’d rather listen to influencers who say anything for clicks
