It’s definitely internalized misogyny because these are the same women who will excuse teen boys’ bad behavior for their shift in hormones. It’s the same principle but different sexes. Almost no one is able to will power their way through a hormonal shift like that, especially if you suffer from PCOS, PMDD, etc.

idk in this specific case i’ve seen it from feminists who say women exaggerate are reinforcing the belief that women can’t be normally horny due to purity culture so they blame it on ovulation
