I’m so devastated to be born in a generation where getting a house is nearly impossible. I would love to buy land and have even a super small tiny ranch but I’ll never have enough money for it

I was watching someone speak about this online and their take was that even if you may feel that way in the moment, it’s still best to do what you can so that if the opportunity ever presents itself, you’ll be ready for it. Don’t let the hopelessness weigh you down

They’ve got house and land auctions in every county in America. Just search “county auction in whatever city you want to own something in” USA got a lot of dusty land and houses to buy. Could just use a credit card with a couple thousand on it.

I’m buying land on the county auction this year for $1000 or less. I’m going to build a dope wedding chapel that’ll be a tourist site

My brother in law just closed on their first house making 16 dollars an hour and he has an unemployed wife and they have an infant baby. I am baffled honestly 😭

You can. My blue collar cousin got his house in the suburbs of a major metro area and I’m closing in on getting one as an engineer. Two different careers and we’re both getting a house. Sounds like you’re not working hard enough or made bad financial choices

I’m happy for you! Currently I am only halfway through undergrad studying Geology w/ Environmental Science alongside GIS. I’ve been applying to any job I see and search regardless if I’m qualified and I’ve gotten no responses, and the only time I spend money is on rent and groceries. I can promise you I’m trying to better my life but when wages don’t rise alongside other prices, it can be a little discouraging

“There’s really no excuse” is a long shot call. Sellers markets are a hit or miss, often times prices going up way more than 200k. I’m happy that you’ve gotten yourself a home but that is not going to be everyone’s luck

Also SNAP, unemployment checks, cash assistance for having a child. Thats the catch tho, being poor and having kids. Cant imagine getting anything besides a trailer park home being single
