Idgaf if I get hate for this. It’s okay to cheat on a physically abusive partner. Once they have broken the sanctity of the relationship you owe them nothing. If you can’t physically fight back you can get emotionally even.

If you cant physically fight back cheating will just put your life in danger as well as the life of the person you had sex with. You can say its understandable, but its not something we should be advertizing. The thing that matters most is the safety of the victim

Do you think the inverse is true as well? To abuse a partner who cheated?

Yeah you’re right, as someone who very recently got out of an abusive relationship safety should be the #1 priority. Luckily for me cheating is what got me out

Nope! I don’t think physical violence/harm is ever warranted in any situation ever. I believe physical violence is so bad that it’s the only time cheating should be warranted

What about cheating on emotional abusers or abusers that don’t do physical harm but mental damage?

I don’t think it’s warranted and I would never encourage it. Like I’d consider it to be the wrong choice. But if it happened I wouldn’t apply the typical rhetoric: “scum of the earth, horrible person, never going to change, once a cheater always a cheater.” I’d give the cheater a legitimate chance to change
