So depending on age, the rule is 1 gram of protein per kilogram of target body weight. Most people leave out the two critical points if “kilogram” and “target weight”

According to a protein calculator the amount of protein I need a day is 36g? So is doing 50 like #2 said good?

Yes. 36 would maintain you, but if you’re going to the gym, a little more will help retain or build. Also depends if you’re in a deficit or not.

Im not in a deficit AT all im ngl I just eat what I want and then workout or vice versa bc im skinny and trying to gain weight. I’ll stick with 50 for now and if I decided I wanna do more I will. Ty for the advice
