maybe a controversial take, but the so called cute romanticized depression is more often than not BS. it’s usually just a bit of sadness and people try to be quirky about it and it minimizes those who are actually debilitated or dissociated because of depression. depression is not cute/cool in the same way that suicide is not cowardly/selfish.
