1. It's honest 2. You can re-use this line for other compliments 3. It's not a pick me line 4. It gives him positive feedback in a way to let him know to keep an eye out and let you know about other things he likes 5. You switch away from actual comment "you're short" and reframe it as you being the decider of what is or is not ok to say about your body

Btw. I am a man with 5 little sisters and am writing a book on how to deal with men... nowhere near publishing it, but this is something I have written about already
