It’s a valid reason because when you get into a relationship with them now you have to care for the child and move your life around for the partner and the child no person wants to pick up anyone else’s saved progress anyway

that’s not necessarily true. there are plenty of people who are willing and happy to step in. a baby is not “saved progress” lol it is a life. there are just plenty of people who choose not to step into a parental role which is valid.
