that’s literally just code for “you’re a nice person and you aren’t ugly, but you aren’t attractive to me and i don’t know how to let you down gently because i feel bad, but i still like the attention you give me”

Ok dude hang on. It is possible to be “too nice” in the sense that you’re too much of a people-pleaser and it’s hard to respect you. It often comes across like you have no self-respect. What you consider “nice” might be coming across as “too much” for others. Maybe tone it back a bit. That obviously doesn’t mean be a jerk; it just means learn to prioritize yourself over others a bit more. Trust me man I was in your position once, believing the exact same things too

if you were actually attractive to them, your personality would be a plus lol. but, they barely see you as human lol

I still feel like guys who are ruder and less inviting have a better chance than guys who are insecure but try to be friendly

Ok well I’m pretty insecure. My mom made sure I never felt good about myself for 18 years of life and I can tell that everyone can see there’s something wrong with me. Makes me feel horrible about myself. I can make girls laugh but the ones I like never seem to like me as more than a friend
