this! It’s genuinely so odd when people shame you too for wanting effort from your friends. It’s not unreasonable for me to wanna see my friends more than twice a year & communicate consistently. I’ve given up on friendships fr not worth the headache.

why don’t people wanna put in effort into friendships these days? Sorry but being busy is a lame excuse to never see your friends. We’re adults, most of us are busy & tired 😒

Seriously! People don’t put as much effort anymore and it’s so weird. Like your supposed to do things for your friends and they do things for you that’s how relationships work like people aren’t there for eachother anymore it’s crazy!

Ugh yes it’s so strange & disheartening. People treat friends like they’re not relationships too that need nurturing, consistency & effort. But when it comes to a romantic relationship they have no problem showing up.

People really don’t realize that friendships are relationships too! Im greatful I do have friends now that understand this but for the longest time I didn’t and it’s so weird to me! Like why would you not care about someone just because they aren’t fulfilling you romantically? Honestly some friendships I’ve had have been deeper and more fulfilling than some relationships! So I don’t understand the lack empathy for friends

Yes! Im glad you were able to find that community it’s truly a blessing & seems to be rare these days. I’m in a long term relationship but nothing can ever replace the feeling of girlhood. The lack of empathy & effort is so rampant 😭
