I don’t think anyone (at least most people) means that racism or racist jokes are good, I think they just mean animal cruelty (that doesn’t sound like a joke) isn’t good without saying the other

my hot take is that neither is inherently “worse” than the other and both have potential to be funny it’s just that people confuse shock/shock “humor” and/or just plain racism w/ dark humor and so then we run into issues

I’m the guy that made the poll… I’m sorry but I just think the way you see the world is wild. First of all, the point of this wasn’t to chastise you for something you said in a YY post lol. You had just made a comparison about dark/edgy humor and I was curious how people felt about it. But for you to make another post on top of it with this ridiculous graphic that doesn’t represent what you said and LITERALLY contains the n word is bizarre.

Well obviously the phrasing of your example makes it sound like a joke but with just text, saying “oh my dog peed on the carpet I’m gonna shoot it in its leg” sounds horrible (especially with the lack of clear tone through text)
