i use to talk to this white guy and he had brain cancer as a kid, i stopped talking to him bc all he did was make black jokes which made me super uncomfortable, and his excuse was “that’s how i cope” WTF do blk ppl have to do with ur cancer????

Yes, I have a large correlation and I’ve actually been told that dark humor is a very resourceful method of coping with my situation but I’m just genuinely curious from the general public of their opinion. Not trying to get a whole fight over anything, not saying that I make these jokes personally but for someone who is in my situation where there is a correlation I just want to learn if it is or is not ok for a person to make black notes

look man, you gotta understand that when black people make jokes about black people it’s fundamentally satirical. It’s poking fun at people that actually believe racist stereotypes.
