Obviously it is sad that Charlie Kirk died at the hands of another. but why is 1 man, who may I add avidly supported gun rights, is getting more media than the hundred of innocent children dying from school shootings?

One of my professors said “In large part it’s bc it was an attack on free speech & beliefs. While he was not a political candidate, it was a political assassination. I agree. School shootings deserves way more coverage. The unfortunately reality is as America, we’ve become desensitized to it. It’s almost “normal” to hear about mass shootings. And that is NOT okay. I think Charlie’s death has more coverage because of how public it was and the fact that he is popular. I think if the video of his death wasn’t available for all to see, it probably wouldn’t be this big.

there’s also a conspiracy theory, that he wasn’t meant to die, but he was meant to get shot in the shoulder. While watching the video he bring up “gang activity” and that was the code word, because as soon as he says it, he lowered the mic and then tenses up. if you watch his wife and kids, she covered their eyes before the shot was even released.

Because he was gunned down on a college campus in front of his wife and extremely young children and in front of so many people who looked up to him. I don’t agree with him in many aspects however he didn’t deserve that when all he was doing was debating people who had different opinions than him. There were stories of Charlie Kirk’s daughter running to her father because she was scared of the loud noise. How anyone could at the very least not send some prayers to the Kirk family is beyond me

While the school shootings and kids whose lives were taken is horrible, the people going into those schools weren’t going with the intention of killing a person bc they disagreed with them. They don’t care who they kill they’re just going in to kill. Charlie Kirk was killed all because he was preaching the Bible and sharing his opinion and giving people a platform to speak even though they often times disagreed with him. Criminals will be criminals. instead of banning guns and have no self defense towards the shooters (cops use guns when stopping the shooter) why don't we have armed guards outside of school or more security in schools to assure people their children are safe. banning guns will make shootings worse since they know no one is coming to kill then after. it's a sad world but we have to be logical.

The other reason it’s getting so much news is because of the question “what/who is next?” This whole situation could escalate or spark something larger than just one man dying. School shootings can’t really escalate into a national situation. Don’t try to twist this into me saying school shootings aren’t a national issue btw because they absolutely are. You obviously know nothing of how custody works. Men have no say in if a child is born or aborted, but even if they don’t want the child the girl can force them to have it and pay for it. And they pay way over the cost and the woman has nothing stopping her from using it for herself rather than kids…I see it all the time. Also, in a divorce a man that is no danger and didn’t do anything often still only gets 4 days a month with their kids. Even if the marriage ended due to the WOMAN cheating.
