Honestly i think its because her bf is in the military and super Christian so they think hes the perfect guy, im an atheist so thats who i choose to date so thats why they act how they do. They dont want me to get “brainwashed away from god”

aww im sorry you have to deal w that :( i assumed it was some religious bs but i didnt wanna just guess. thats crazy they think hes the perfect guy like military men arent notorious for being cheaters and wife beaters.. i hope you find a way to date who you want without needing to rely on your parents support (though i hope they come around eventually) 💕

Omg recently this girl (19 aswell) from the church my mom attends married her military bf earlier this year and about 2 weeks ago she left Texas to move with her husband I forgot where but yeah most religious people get married so young because living and having sex with your partner before marriage is considered a “sin” 🫩🫩

Thank you!! Its been especially hard too since im bi theyve given me so much internalized homophobia that its become so hard to imagine a future with a woman because of all the pressure theyve put on me, even my sister shits on me for not being with the first person i dated. “At least im not gonna get dumped like you did” is something ive heard many times, and it makes me feel like im never going to find or ever feel real love

Where i live (upstate ny for some fucking reason) its really common for people to get married and have babies by like 21 legit before they can even drink its so odd

Ok bro, so i guess me being not being christian or choosing to be with people who were not born here (my parents did not like when i was dating an immigrant), or me being with a woman, or anyone who isnt a Christian american born white man makes it so that i shouldnt have love thanks
