I refused to date my bf knowing he had a girl bestie. He cut her off so I’d be w him. I’d never date a guy with a close woman friend personally.

every single one of you is delusional. women and men can be friends and that’s fine. you should also not be pitting your girlfriend against your best friend. that just shows you don’t respect either of them and just view them as toys or objects for your to use and play with to get what you want. that’s also not normal, that’s how most people’s friendships are. don’t let this asshole reconfirm your weird controlling biases about who your partner can be friends with

Not always the case lol. Most times in those dynamics at least one person is into the other. & in my case they had a sexual history. Never once told him to cut her off but expressed I did not want to get involved in that & he decided to cut her off. It’s not unreasonable for people to not want to engage with this. I think it’s fine if they have friends from the opposite gender it’s usually a little different when they’re very close or consider themselves “besties”

“most times” is a strong assumption. you can have best friends of the opposite gender there’s nothing wrong with that. stringing someone along who you have a history with is a bad idea regardless of gender. idk why straight people seem to think men and women can’t interact without immediately trying to fuck each other

Oh pls lol. Gay people have some of the most confusing dating lives I’ve seen. Just because yall are more “open” doesn’t mean shit lol.
