Answering texts is like starting an assignment. I think about the amount of texts I have to reply to, I think about replying perfectly, I think about how much life it’s going to take out of me just to respond… so I don’t do it. How about a call if you’re so pressed lol… whole convo is 5 minutes

Ima be so honest, I’m the person this is describing. I don’t even do it act cool but I have messages from a month ago I haven’t read because either I can’t find the right words to reply to it with or I got distracted by something else and completely forgot

Real. They should be lucky u even texted them back. Dance moms and work as a professional dancer, blows my damn phone up. I HATE my phone now. So it’s on do not disturb 24/7. They can be patient for me until bed time when, and If, I go through my phone. 😩

text as a medium inherently makes it easy to miscommunicate, and being social already can be draining. not texting back bc of some desire to act nonchalant is disrespectful as hell, but personally I just hate the expectation of a back & forth. it’s doesn’t feel that big, but doing it daily for years with multiple people just gets so tiring

if you're the kind of person/at a point in your life where you don't understand being overwhelmed by answering texts, good for you. but when you have a lot going on sometimes its just difficult to stay on top of, especially when you don't like giving dry ass responses

that can get really overwhelming tho, we weren’t meant to be able to access eachother instantly all the time. unless you’re planning something like a hangout or having an active conversation, if you always answer instantly it can be hard to respond

How abt not lazy, busy. I travel the country for dance and always being booked. I’m no lazy liberal. I believe you work hard for ur money, u spend ur own money. So I’m too busy making money. People can have patience to wait for a response. I was in Ciara’s newest music video lol, they can wait for me lol.
