They know they have acne. They know their hair is greasy. They know they look slim. They know they might be gaining weight. They know they’re not wearing the best shoes. They know they don’t have the newest phone. They know. Stop pointing it out.

Alright do you want to come over here and talk to my roommate? Because how should I tell him nicely that I can smell him in my fucking sleep 😭

Had to tell my mum to stop mentioning how I used to have a six pack (she wasn’t doing it maliciously more just out of concern) but fuck me ma I only went up half a size 😭

Well there is a nice way to go about it. Tell him. But don’t be rude about it. He could be going through depression or something. Sometimes that makes you not want to shower, bed rot, or etc. you can tell him, just don’t be rude about it. Let him know you’re worried about him, and let him know that maybe you can’t handle the smell anymore. Just be polite about it and ask him to please take a shower. Communication is key man

smell is different cause barring a medical condition you can fix it in 5 min by taking a shower and deodorant. i think this post is more like things that take a while to fix like body shape, or might be out of someones control like money

i would honestly argue there isnt a nice way to have this conversation. its going to be hard and awkward for both parties, especially if he's neglecting his hygiene because of mental health issues, which he likely is because no one wants to willingly be dirty. being gentle and approaching from a place of concern is the best option but there's really no good way. it sucks for both of you.

Oh trust. Like I’m fine with how I am. Yeah abs were cool, still are, lot of effort tho. But whenever someone points it out you always find yourself looking in the mirror 😭
