Why would a man try to pursue a relationship with me, then suddenly tell me he’s not ready for a relationship, then continuously go back and forth with talking/ flirting with me whenever I see him in person?

Has someone else he actually wants and you’re in the roster

Or he’s looking for a sign from you. Thinks he isn’t good enough but wants to be good enough. He can’t see the bar he’s set for what he thinks you deserve and needs to know if you want him. Hard to tell w/o context but that’s how I’ve been before. It’s a possibility.

Well he did cry to me about him just not being in a good spot in life to be in a relationship, I also have a lot of past trauma from my ex that comes with being in a relationship with me

I’ve never had a man cry infront of me before so that’s one of the only reasons I think he might feel something real but just can’t handle it rn

See this was a thought of mine as well but he’s an attractive man and can honestly get that attention elsewhere

This was also a thought of mine, he definitely could have an ex or sum

And he probably is. It’s just that if someone’s easy to get attention from why would you try throw that away. It’s like a dopamine boost you don’t have to work for
