This might be a weird thing to vent about but sometimes I get frustrated w myself when I’m spiraling or feeling down because I really have no coping mechanism for it. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs. Nothing to really numb or ease the pain

That is SO GOOD actually. You should be insanely proud of yourself for tackling the toughest of times without a crutch. You're doing what most people can't. This will ultimately give you a huge leg up in life. Not being substance dependent is freaking amazing. I threw away SO many years due to alcohol, then even more getting sober. Plus coping mechanisms don't actually have to be unhealthy!! Just find your thing! My new one in place of alcohol is the gym, for instance.

Thank you for that. I’m happy to hear you’ve tackled the alcohol. I just don’t really know what I like, I suppose. I do like taking a walk around my neighborhood and I love coaching but those are only set days and times.

Hey, finding yourself is a big project in itself! That in itself can be used as a coping tool! Trying out various hobbies/things, exploring everything that's out there, seeing what jives with you Like I'm FLABBERGASTED by what I've found I actually enjoy. If you told me from a few years ago that I'd fucking love the gym, knitting, wellness, etc, I'd laugh in your face and think you're insane 😂
