Genuinely in tears about my body rn. It’s like when god was making me he took all of the worst features and put them on me and laughed.

Teeth blackening, large noses, big foreheads, long earlobes, etc. were all considered the pinnacle of beauty in different cultures at one time or another. Society bases beauty on how the wealthy appear/status symbols and it’s intentionally unrealistic. There’s entire industries banking on people hating the way they look. They profit on people hating themselves so they invent more and more bullshit. The standards are only more international bc of colonialism and big corporations being greedy ->

If there were one standard of beauty they wouldn’t have to push their narrative so hard. Try looking at yourself from the perspective of an artist studying light, shadow, texture, and hue instead of someone trying to fix something. If you are healthy you don’t need to fix anything.
