I agree with the fundamentalist part, but I still don’t see why people are allowed to shit on a religious group and make such generalizations about its followers

In the Old Testament adultery and SA are property crimes against the man that owns the woman. Deuteronomy 22, starting in verse 28: If a woman is assaulted by a man, he is forced to marry her for the rest of her life after paying her father 50 shekels of silver, the brides price because he reduced the value of her fathers property. Her punishment is to have to be married to her attacker for the rest of her life. I’m locked in.

The Bible is full of racism and misogyny

Not true. For the time that it was written the Bible was incredibly inclusive. The first recorded witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection were women in a time when eyewitness testimony of women was considered invalid. Also with the inclusion of different people groups that joined Old Testament Israel (i.e. Ruth, Rahab, who were also women!) and the promise of the gospel for the Gentiles, there is zero possible way that the bible is full of racism and misogyny. It’s a baseless claim made out of hatred

Women are specifically detailed as PROPERTY in the Bible both old and New Testament.

Ahhh yes, sending a bunch of references without context with most of them being descriptive events and others making very little sense for your claim. Women are explicitly defined in scripture as made in the image of God and married couples are given mutual authority over each other’s bodies. You can claim that society in biblical times were patriarchal, I will concede that, but women are not male property in Scripture

Ahh yes the idiot who claims to have read the Bible can’t read it very well and then complains I’m not giving context. It’s a lot to text you’re not worth the effort each of those things listed describe women as property and also talk about punishments for women being harsher than men or forcing un wed women to forever be married to their attackers. Your bullshit interpretations are exactly that. BULLSHIT cult fuck

Ur actually showing me why context matters here. A few verses earlier in Deuteronomy 22 shows that women are protected from sexual assault. Even the word for rape in verse 28 is disputed and scholars think that it is actually seduction leading to consensual sex, not forced. If you’ve run out of real arguments and want to just throw insults at me then go ahead

Ahahahah there it is! How common of the evangelicals to always find ways to excuse rape!

If you say that it is excusing rape, which it isn’t, you’re completely ignoring the consequences for sexual violence in the text. It clearly gives severe consequences for rape and provides protection for women in a patriarchal world, which would have been unheard of in that time.

you are hiding behind an anonymous account speaking on others religions? it’s disrespectful and if someone were to speak disrespectfully about muslims they would be cancelled and sent death threats but you feel so comfortable to speak on christian’s? they aren’t harming you. if you don’t believe then leave it alone, don’t be so miserable in your life to let a religion you don’t believe in take up so much space in your head. just be kind bro, it’s literally free?

Evangelicals literally want to force everyone in society to conform to their rules. It’s why they help sponsor state policies that blur the line that separates church and state its why they try so hard to ban any form of bodily female autonomy like rights to an abortion. Yes they are an active threat at all times. I do not have to be kind to evangelicals just like I do not have to be kind to Zionists, or Nazis. Kind is reserved for people who don’t try to fuck others out of human rights
