I’ve been friends with plenty of women without wanting/trying to get with them. Think it’s probably mostly that the guys that go out looking for female friends are trying to set up potential relationships. I have also dated some women first I met as friends, but not many. It can be a nice way to have things go so I don’t want to shit on it too much
