does no one else think it’d be weird to announce you’re trans like first thing in the conversation? i feel like there are a ton of potential dealbreakers that are kind of personal people wait a little to tell someone they date idk

no, it's just being honest and you're just making excuses for lying. if they're not interested or view you as a fetish only, then they're not the one. everyone deals with this sort of thing when dating, and trans people shouldn't have a pass js bc they're trans. at the very least if you're not going to tell them first thing then don't do anything physical with them before you do.

If you’re using a dating app why not just put it in your bio

i think disclosure before getting intimate is a normal timeline but like think about it people don’t tell everything about themselves immediately when dating in general. you share more and more the more you get to know each other

like being a virgin can be a dealbreaker for some people but i think it’d be weird to say that first thing but you’d probably say it before being intimate

true but that's when it comes to things about their personalities. like you learn more and more about their hobbies, their work, their favourite things, etc., not their genitalia. i get it's personal, but i think it's necessary early on to let them know to prevent possible mistreatment (like getting beat up) or a full on rejection and then getting your heart broken if they don't accept it.

oh yes i agree with that, but just like you said it should be shared at least before that time.

have you considered getting to know someone enough to gather whether they’re safe or not is exactly how they prevent possible mistreatment

no bruh, let's not throw it out there and hope what they've shown you so far will hopefully let you know whether or not they'll accept you, just be upfront about it right out the gate 😭😭 playing a game for your life possibly lmao

i feel like the risk is there no matter when you tell them but getting to know them even preliminarily at least gives someone a little bit of a gauge

i think we are gonna just have to agree to disagree on this one, but i do respect your take on the matter.
