I was assigned to fix an issue on Friday. After investigation, I discover a senior colleague on my team made a pretty big mistake related to the issue. When I ask them about it, they evade the question and deny. I later find further evidence that pretty much indisputably points the issue to them. Gonna send all the evidence and cc our manager. This might sour my relationship with the person but at this point what can I do. I’ve given them plenty of chances to own up to it in private.

Nah OP you right. I did the opposite once upon a time, looked the other way, and I got fired for not reporting it. Best of luck to you
