As a sober gym rat, tbh, the thing that keeps me from relapsing (it'd be SUPER easy bc I bartend), is my muscles/progress. When I'm close to saying fuck it, I just feel up an arm like 'Ya like that? Take that shot and it's all GONE.'

I'll really be holding the drink right in front of my mouth simultaneously feeling my abs or arms or legs like 'Alllll your hard work is going right down the drain if you do this' Works every time Ik it's wildly cringey but it really works

I’ve been the same weight for 8 years with 3-4 days at the gym and a functional alcoholic. Eat relatively healthy drink a lot don’t get gains don’t lose what I have
