Fr. Chases me for a year while I’m in a relationship. Then too “busy” and “not ready for a relationship” when I’m single. Not too busy or uninterested in relationships for her new bf though. Ah well, it was a bit of a weird situation for everybody. Just wish she would have been upfront about it instead of ghosting me. She was a good friend for a while too.

I’m more upset that she just refused to be upfront with me and tell me she wasn’t interested in the first place more than I am that she’s with someone else now. Why not just be honest?

I get that rejecting someone is scary for a plethora of reasons but I tried *so hard* to make it clear that it was okay if she didn’t want to date me Told her several times that I’d rather her be honest even if she thinks it’ll hurt my feelings than lie to make me feel better; told her I care more about her being happy than I do about being in a relationship; told her I’d respect her choice no matter what, but I needed to know if she changed her mind so I could start moving on

And I do genuinely believe all those things! If she thinks her bf is the one to make her happiest, I have no business protesting that. It just would have saved me so much trouble if she had been honest with me
