My vagina turned into the Sahara Desert when this guy called his woman professor a bitch. I absolutely loathe when men use that word to towards a woman because it feels so aggressive.

Yeah I dislike how disrespectful and derogatory men can be towards women. If that’s his common vocabulary, I don’t want anything to do with him.

Anyone can be called a bitch but it’s a word made specifically for women. When it’s used for a man it’s usually to imply that he is acting like a woman. In my opinion it is 100% a slur, along with cunt

Not arguing here just looking for perspectives. If those are slurs is calling someone a dick also a slur. If not what differentiates that

Slurs are like words bigots use to degrade a marginalized group I guess, so idk how dick would be a slur

(Let's not use emotional language and call it "antisocial and narcissistic") Men and women are both antisocial and narcissistic when they get away with wicked behavior and are neglected for virtuous behavior. It's not a sex thing. Accountability is the answer

It was always frequent. It died down a bit but that depends on where you live, but I think the only reason it feels excessive is due to how quickly we can see things on the internet. But also, there are lots of bots that ragebait and use such language and purposely divide people. Offline, it’s not as excessive but it depends on the area tbh

Bro, be so for real I’m a woman that shit is not any more sadistic than any other curse words you’re just being sensitive and think that everything has to be against women when it’s really not like I’ll call men and women a bitch and it’s all the same cause guess what it’s just a fucking word

upvote 3 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #28 4w

Right and it’s a derogatory word. People use slurs against all kinds of people, even people that slur is not towards. Tbh why does it bother you that a woman doesn’t want to associate with someone who is casually disrespectful towards them? If you want to be called a bitch, that’s you. But not wanting to be called one, I don’t see how that’s acting sensitive.

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #9 4w

Because theyre just words if words affect you that deeply, how are you gonna survive in this world I mean come on and that’s not what is sensitive it’s the fact that it’s not a misogynist word targeting women cause it’s just a curse words it can be used and be derogatory for all kinds of people not just women

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #28 4w

It is a misogynistic word. It is directed towards women. Even if you call a man a bitch, the insult is bc it’s misogynistic. Like calling him a sissy. Words affect everyone. That’s why there are certain things we can’t say in certain settings. We are civilized people. We can’t go around calling people the f slur, the n slur, or any other slur. Do people still do? Yes. That doesn’t make it right though. And we can choose not to associate with such people. So why are you being sensitive over that?

It’s natural to have self respect and to walk away when you aren’t respected. That doesn’t require any help or anything to get over.

Anonymous replying to -> #9 4w

That’s totally fine , but to think that women have a right to claim that men shouldn’t call women bitches because it’s misogynistic is stupid because the word is literally a general curse word, women aren’t special, thinking that it’s all about them and that saying it to them makes it all of a sudden that much more derogatory is stupid

upvote 2 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #28 4w

Bitch is not a neutral curse word? When you call a man a bitch you’re essentially emasculating them. It is a gendered slur and rooted in misogyny. You might not value it that much personally, and uses matter with context. But you have no right to strip it of its meaning. Think about it, what does the word actually mean? It means female dog around 1000CE, then used in contempt against women around 15th century with connotations of high sex drives and disobedience.

And do you notice how your only using one part of the og meaning? It may mean female as well but it also means dog, so it is more derogatory because you’re calling someone a mut more or less rather than a female

You know your intentions when using the word bitch, you would not be using it if you weren’t insulting someone. There are hundreds of other names and slurs to call someone but you choose bitch. Ask yourself why. Words have meaning, and you’re an asshat if you deny that

upvote 4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 4w

You’re right they do all have meaning but calling someone a cunt or a shithead is no more or no less derogatory than calling someone a bitch. And if you think differently with that then you’re just stupid😂 cause you would call someone like your mom any one of those cause one is not any better or worse than the other

It is a derogatory word used towards women. It can be used against men but the intent is to be misogynistic. Maybe look into why people think so rather than brushing it off as stupid. But to each their own. That’s all I have to say.
