
I like to think of it like Carving grooves in like some sort of vinyl or something like that. It’s really easy for a needle to fall back into the grooves bc the infrastructure is already there for it to slide along that track. The brain seems to work like that for like literally every habit and epigenetic adjustment. You can get it to move to something different with different patterns and stuffs but it can always really easily slip back into that groove and crave away all the overgrown moss or
it dosent ever truly go away but it gets easier to manage rather that be with medication therapy or a combination of the two after spending a good chunk if my childhood and all of my teen years in therapy overtime youll find what coping skills work for you and learn how to live with mental illness and it wont feel so debilitating
