dare i say that if your kinks or fetishes emerged from trauma, you should be getting therapy for it instead of sexualizing it? idk it’s very uncomfortable as the partner to be asked to cater to fetishes that stem from abuse…

As someone in the therapy field it’s often an actual coping mechanism people will do, though obviously maladaptive. It’s usually a surrogate way they feel control over their trauma

It is hopefully he eventually seeks out healthier coping skills, not sure if you are religious but I’ll keep in him my prayers
