I think the post is gone but we know sneezing loud is a choice because: 1: deaf people universally have quiet sneezes regardless of age/gender/ethnicity. 2: you can practice and change your own sneeze if you are just mindful of it.

I post this as someone who intentionally changed my sneezes. I used to sneeze normal volume then got bad allergies and would sneeze constantly. It got annoying so I’d just try to make it quiet. Now boom no build up, just the choo

I consciously changed mine to be quieter back in high school. I’ll be a little louder at home alone but there is no reason in this world to be screaming when you sneeze

Im 6’4” and sneeze loud cuz my grandpa had loud sneezes and i wanted to have loud sneezes. But I also think its cuz my lungs are bigger so theres more force coming out

i cannot change my sneeze by the time it comes out. ik someone who changed her sneezes but not everyone can or wants to put a ton of effort into making their sneezes silent

You have more muscles then. Experiment, try to sneeze quietly. You’ll find after a few tries it’s you all along.
