Over half the population thinks this. If you actually are looking at things objectively, you’d realize that you have no real evidence that you are smarter than most people. You could be wrong just as easily as anyone else

Well said. But I also think being humble is contributing to the problem. In person id never call them dumb as I would online simply because its not what you do. But… aren’t we exacerbating the problem?

If you were looking at it objectively you’d know its either fact or not. You cant be wrong when the fact is literally what separates the two competing ideas.

i was assuming OP was talking about IQ which is the only way you can measure it objectively and determine whether you’re above average but if it’s not IQ then i got no idea what they mean

It is that black and white. Facts are literally facts. So objectively speaking you can not argue a factual claim. Wtf are you on about? This is what im talking about. You cant even come to terms with the simple truth that a factual is a fact.

Nothing is factual. Axioms are imperfect, as discovered by Kurt goedal and agreed upon my mathematicians. Des cartes and Socrates wrote of the skepticisms. Nothing is objective. Objectivity is impossiblr
