Well one guy just told me his disabled brother is “substandard stock” and that all disabled people are “polluting the gene pool” which has made me so depressed I genuinely feel like crying

It was really fucking hard to hear, as a disabled person myself with a disabled partner. Plus before I got sick I had people in my family who are disabled and needed professional care and it just. I just don’t understand people like that. I don’t understand why some people hate us so much for being sick. I just wanna live my life and be as happy as I can, and usually I do that, but I just. Somebody out there’s always gonna be thinking I’m a fucking “burden on society,” I guess.
