that’s not “just semantics”, it’s a basic facet of how language operates… other people clocking insinuations in your speech that you claim to have not consciously intended is not an “it’s not that deep” issue. everybody please learn how to close-read so you can get better at interpreting and articulating language

Words are extremely malleable and sometimes you’re just not understanding because your strict adherence to rules. For example, “fuck you, you fucking fuck”

Okay let’s take this reply. Definitionally, condescension requires an insinuation of superiority. However, the structure of your sentence conveys overwhelming moral superiority. Do you recognize the linguistic contradiction here?
