Okay, so now I’m about to read you like a book that’s never been opened. There are more resources for men and single fathers than there are for women and single mothers. There are more homeless shelters specifically for men. The justice system pities men but punishes women just for existing and speaking their truth. You have it easy in this world. You can get a job anywhere, apply for anything. Hell, you could run for president, and as long as you’ve got a “D,” your foot’s already in the door.

I mean this very genuinely, how is it divisive? I don’t see how it’s building animosity, it’s a silly comment, that women have been making about different things for years. Its just a silly joke, and referencing another joke about men having illnesses and handling it much worse than women. Wild that this extremely transphobic comment is getting upvoted. I also hate the people saying “oh, it’s just a joke! It doesn’t matter!!” As someone dating a trans man (and had a serious pregnancy scare), not everyone has the resources to get a hysterectomy especially as a 20 y/o. My bf passes 100% and is a man in every possible sense of the word, but pregnancy is very much still a possibility for him and people saying “oh you’re looking too deeply 🙄” are ignorant and transphobic. We exist.

also a hysterectomy is an incredibly invasive surgery that has adverse side effects (like early menopause symptoms). Way easier to just take birth control, use condoms, and be careful.
