I don’t respect men that cannot be just friends with any woman in their life- they either view women as family or sexual objects. It just tells me you either have a lack of discipline over your feelings or you only value women for sex

Umm there have been studies that show very few percentage of women and men can be platonic friends. It’s understandable in a way.

It’s unfortunate this has been your personal experience. Almost every man I know has no problem maintaining a perfectly normal friendship with the women in their life.

Would you mind citing the study?

I mean not the exact study and I’ll admit it was a quick thing on insta but here’s one: https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2025/01/16/men-women-and-social-connections/

If you’re referring to the section about all male/female social groups, that doesn’t say anything about people finding it hard to make friends of a different gender. Thats Pew asking how people feel about friend groups that are all men or all women. They do not ask how hard it is to form other kinds of friend groups, and they do not say these people have NO friends of another gender, just that they have certain clubs or gatherings of all men/women.

Source: an Instagram post Then you post a study that doesn’t prove your stance and shows social conditioning makes people uncomfortable with multi gendered peer groups. Real good noggin thinking today folks

Yeah I even said so. I’m also at work so I’m doing a quick search not doing a full long research on the subject. I can admit when I’m wrong unlike a lot of people nowadays

If I could be pedantic and annoying for a second: You didn’t actually admit you were wrong. You didn’t even say when citing the study that it didn’t actually support your point. You just dropped a link to unrelated research and left.

I did a quick skim of the article but my bad ok. I was wrong. The site I used didn’t support my point. All good now?

bc you’re not viewing women as people, just extensions of yourself

If you’ve been with the same therapist for a while, I recommend maybe trying a new one. Sometimes you just don’t click with a practitioner so you can’t get super far with them. My first therapist I was with for a year we didn’t mesh at all, but my second one changed my life fr.

Most people I know that’s been cheated on are men for one. The second, it’s just common sense. They literally MAKE MEME POST ABOUT IT. Like it’s a open book test lmao

Cool so your sources are “some guys I know” (extremely anecdotal evidence, especially since given your comments here I’d guess most of your friends are men anyway) and “memes” which is so far from being a “source” I’m embarrassed you even said it.

You must be old asf. So you wanna know how big memes are? Remember 6, 7? Or “You’re done” or the stranger things etc???? It’s 2026, keep up 😂 also yea? It’s not bs stats.

If someone tried to cite 6, 7 in a research paper I’d throw a stapler at their head. Your weird memes being popular proves nothing. There’s memes about everything, my guy. There’s memes about Burger King foot lettuce and ted Cruz being the zodiac killer and jd Vance fucking a couch.

it’s the same concept as when people are talking about like. domestic abuse or something and everyone goes “she’s someone sister” “she’s someone’s daughter” “she’s SOMEONE” like why isn’t it enough to just view women as people? why do you have to view them as family?

That’s fair and I bring you: i view all my actual friends like family. Like, the men and nonbinary ones too. I get that it’s probably that deep for some people, but i don’t think it’s that deep when it’s me lol. Also idk i don’t need that connection to care about someone i don’t know/am only acquaintances with anyway?
