
Actually it is bad, bc all commercial consumer use of ai is worthless socially and harmful, hence why he reflected on it, but I agree he shouldn’t be canceled. He’s striving to do better and that’s what our focus should always be. Transparency and improvement is more important than the mistake
In a capitalist world isn’t everything commercial eventually? Not trying to make excuses but just trying to not be hypocritical in my views on ai. To clarify I think generative ai is harmful and dumb, and I support research assistive and specialized ai use such as in the medical field for diagnostic support. And while I agree using “research ai” for a YouTube channel is pushing the moral acceptability he is known as a very education focused channel and not a monetization focused one
I do think it needs to be transparent and responsible when used and that creators should feel some pressure to be responsible from their communities, and I wouldn’t even go as far to support this kind of use by other creators, I just think the backlash he’s gotten is a little out of proportion for what he actually did
