A lot of ppl who call themselves Christian are just some of the most insufferable ppl to be around, & use religion as a facade for their weirdly chauvinistic ego projection. There isn’t much real love, just a lot of moral grandstanding. There are ppl who are real throughout tho ofc. I find a lot of the early patristic & biblical development narratives to be contrived, fabricated, & unreliable. And the trinity is a bit nonsensical to me even after engaging philosophically

I’d say I’m a deist now. I def think there’s a God or higher power out there, I’ve experienced things that can’t rly be explained otherwise and I think that’s where reason generally points in my study of it, but I just don’t think Christianity is true or really something I resonate with in terms of that God or ultimate truth to life. I still love my Christian parents and decent people who espouse that view though
