I ate at a 3 Michelin star restaurant (that’s the highest a restaurant can get) called the French laundry. Had to book a table two mo the in advanced. Premium menu. Price was egregious, 4 seats was the same price as a decent used car.
Food sucked.
My dad took me for my birthday and I'm ngl the food was mid. Maybe a little lower than mid. But the atmosphere was really nice, just not nice enough to makeup for an otherwise really underwhelming experience

Is 5 start not highest?

I thought half of it was manageable and the other half was genuinely hard to eat mostly just because of the texture

No it ain’t like that. It’s not a rating it’s an award. Even one star is a huge honor
