Ok, here is some education: while Christianity has undeniably been an instrument of good, history speaks volumes to its thousands of abuses and oppression of other religions, as well as its use to spread hateful rhetoric. This isn’t an opinion it’s fact. Furthermore, the coming to be of Christianity is coincidental and related to humanity’s (at the time) lack of understanding of the world, and we have since advanced as people and should do the same with our customs and ‘beliefs’.

Christianity, and all religion for that matter, mainly serve as escapes for justifying hatred and the oppression of scientific advancement in our society. If Emperor Constantine hadn’t won all those years ago you would likely be Islamic or no religion at all. Due to where you were born and how u were raised, u believe what u believe and it’s unfortunate you were never able to consider the broader scope.

Christianity isn’t the only religion that has cause oppression and has been forced years back. You can’t lump every Christian/catholic as a whole and say that they all want to force religion upon others. I don’t force religion upon others and I’ve always been open to hearing about other religions and cultures. Yesterday I wrote this comment expressing that I am happy that I received my bible. I never stated that everyone needs to get one or forced my opinions on anyone.

It’s not the only, but it’s one of the dominant religions in our world, I could say the same about every religion but contextually, we are talking about Christianity. I never said you oppressed anyone, simply that you believe in a system that has a storied history of oppression. We as a society should stop supporting causes, indirectly or not, that are a catalyst of hate. Also, I’m not grouping you in with Catholics unfairly, many branches of the Christian faith are guilty of this as well.

I never said either life matters to me. I don’t know yall, but they aren’t the only Christian on planet. Even if I don’t know them, when you’re talking about Christianity, you’re talking about millions of people and not just them. I will stand up for what I and plenty of others believe in.

I know they are, but that group didn’t choose to be that way. The belief they held as spreaders of hate (racists, nazi’s, etc) was a decision. Don’t support the part of the group that made that choice.

Not you talking about not hating and oppression and doing exactly what you’re preaching not to do… 💀 I know many people that have grown up in areas/families and didn’t believe in anything and have chosen to believe. Everything today has/had some sort of corruption, even non believers stances. Just because there is one bad egg does not mean the entire batch is. Most Christians today are not rooted in hate or oppression, more or less being the ones receiving it.

I’m not oppressing bc I can’t really prevent I from practicing whatever you want, I’m offering advice on what you should do, whether or not u listen isn’t up to me. Over the span of history, Christianity has committed a lot of wrongs. With a repeated history like that, if you know that it will continually violate people’s rights, wouldn’t you stop it all together? Even if there are some good ones it doesn’t justify the wrongs

The only person trying to force their beliefs onto others is you by preaching that the bible is just a fairytale. You can’t hate people because they don’t see things the same way as you. I’ve found my way into Christianity on my timing through my own hardships. I’m not sure what you’re going through that’s causing you to spread all this hate but I hope it gets better for you.

Have you ever talked to many Christians or anybody of faith in that matter? Yes, a decent amount are born into it but there’s also a vast majority of people that were not. You very much are oppressing Christians because of what we believe, trying to force your non-belief on us. Every group of people: religious, political, LGBT+, BLM, literally anybody, has had some hate in them. In all groups, there are some people/morgal that aren’t bad , yet say the entire group is bad.
