No I agree there are certain benefits, but it’s horrible for the environment and I hate that it has been so popular in common use

It’s good for looking up stuff much better than Google for getting direct answers at this point.

i completely agree it has awful uses on the environment but me, one student, not using it isn’t going to change anything and i’ll fall further behind compared to other nursing students who are using it. i still call my congressman every month saying he should support legislation regulating the destructive impact these data centers are having on nearby towns though.

You can do what you want obviously, but in my opinion if everyone who thought “I’m just won’t person it won’t change anything” actually stopped using it then it would start to change things. There are ways to thrive without using AI as a student, it’s just gonna be a greater time commitment
