You gotta get smarter with it. My life would be more expensive without a partner to share everything with. It’s cheaper to buy and split one big meal, share a bedroom in an apartment with roommates and split the rent evenly, etc. We split things 50/50 usually unless one of us is completely broke in the moment or it’s a gift.
