as i think abt it, it’s def not only a trust thing where i need more reassurance in their character before i can accept more shallow flattery, but also a sort of backup plan in case he loses interest in my personality bc at least he’ll still find me pretty and that’s something i can hold on to

no i know, it’s just something i’ve noticed, though i’m lucky enough that i don’t often talk with more superficially-interested guys much? probably bc ive been told i come across as very unavailable so those who get to know me actually like me as a person
