I’m from the UK so I don’t give a shit, Trump is one step away from killing a whole civilisation and yes he does have dementia. Trump have frontal temporal dementia. I have worked with dementia for 13 years now. And I see all the symptoms. I’m guessing it doesn’t bother you that he finds his daughter sexually attractive but Trump is against people like me because I’m ftm trans. He hates us just for being ourselves. But he thinks its okay to have sex with minors
No it dose but why are you concerning yourself with the country? You don’t even live in . Also the reason why people dislike the LGBTQ it’s because all you do is shove it down peoples throats like can’t you be normal and not have to always bring it up in every conversation when it’s totally irrelevant love who you want be who you want but there’s no reason to always bring it up
I think the disconnect here is that none of your perspective has to do with policy. It’s all just girlboss politics “He’s a liar 💅🏼”. Lmao yeah, every president and PM in history can be considered a liar. The types of people that campaign and run are generally awful by nature. Yes, Trump is particularly bad and there are a lot of heinous allegations that should be investigated. But frankly, I don’t care. As an American citizen, I just want our democratic laws enforced. That’s it.
If that is true, of course it is deeply, deeply terrible and he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And he would be, if there were ample proof of that. That said, given the choice between someone who even likely did something unimaginably horrible in their personal life but will uphold the laws produced by our democratic system, and an angel who simply doesn’t have the country’s best interest reflected by their policies, I would choose the former.
I didn’t vote in 2024 because I support Trumps policies but couldn’t bring myself to vote for him as a person. It would have been SO EASY for Harris to simply say they would make enforcing border policy a priority going forward, protect children/parents from making uninformed decisions, and ensure equal opportunity for citizens regardless of immutable characteristics. But they couldn’t. Because that would be considered racist and anti-LGBTQ by what they think is their base. So they blew it.
i can gladly give you a list of the reasons why i know this man is a piece of shit! let’s start with him claiming he can grab women by the pussy. he has bombed 7 countries. claimed he wants to be president of 2 countries. 10 territories he has claimed he wants to invade / take over. claimed he has stopped 8 wars and has stopped none. 20 million americans saw their healthcare insurance premiums skyrocket due to him removing the affordable care act tax credits. $44 billion in losses for american-
-farmers due to his tariffs. spent approximately $400 million on his new ballroom. an estimated $126 million tax dollars spent on golf trips. illegally added his name to the kennedy center. $2 trillion dollar tax cut for the rich. $1 trillion cut from food stamps. had taken THREE dementia tests. tried to defund 5 blue states over unsubstantiated fraud. 6 vaccines the CDC has stopped recommending for children and over 2000 measles cases (highest # in decades). 300,000 federal jobs cut. doge cost-
-the US $135 billion. $6 billion cut from NIH medical research into curing cancer, alzheimer’s, and other diseases. 1600 pardons for violent criminals. 36% end of 1st year approval rating. signed for the elimination of the federal department of education. claimed obama would start a war with iran “because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. he’s weak and he’s ineffective, so the only way he figures he’s going to get reelected is to start a war with iran.” his name appears over a million-
The process that is “due” is determined by Congress and the SCOTUS. Congress has explicitly resolved that certain noncitizens are to be deported without hearings. So I can see how that would be confusing for you, but no. Try again. Also as a note- I don’t care what color you are, if you entered this country illegally, you should be removed and placed in line to become a citizen with everyone else. This preserves the very order and fairness that attract people to this country in the first place
You said an intelligence test would be racially motivated. If you believe intelligence is mutually exclusive to race, as I do, you wouldn’t have made this statement. But you did, so you don’t. You believe some races are more intelligent than others and therefore an intelligence test requirement to vote would be unfair. Would you like to clarify?
You very simply don’t understand the constitution. You’d have a personal vested interest in preventing an intelligence test. And instead of making your point clear, you’re lashing out at me lol. It’s because you have no explanation. You have a cartoonish perception of how the real world, and by extension this country, works. And that’s why you don’t understand it, and it makes you upset.
So no, intelligence has nothing to do with race, but education—the quality of it and how much funding your school gets, as well as average educational level—is highly related to race, not because white people value education more, but because of system inequality. This is the result of centuries of discrimination post-reconstruction, through Jim Crow, and even past desegregation—mainly due to the war on drugs and mass incarceration unjustly targeting black people.
There are plenty of government files that say exactly what Donald Trump paid to do to those kids. Comparing the information in the Epstein files to AI in terms of accuracy is the type of argument that blatantly exposes you as a Trump apologist. You don’t need to defend him… unless you care so deeply for a rich asshole who sure as shit doesn’t give a fuck about you.
His crypto, advertisement as president, cutting funds to government groups that protect and help the United States public only to give tax breaks especially tariff breaks on his own tariffs when they line his own pocket how about the fact he just cut off us as well as the rest of the world from oil which I might add we are only so reliant on because cunts like him only to propose a partnership on the toll through the Hormuz
This is much easier said than done. Not only would that be considered unconstitutional, but IQ tests only represent math, some logic, and pattern recognition. This doesn’t say anything about one’s social or emotional intelligence, both which can be taken advantage of to bait or guilt someone into voting for someone they otherwise wouldn’t.
Lol you can’t go into a conversation assuming everyone else consumes the same media as you. Your ignorant, dismissive, and angry attitude is exactly what allows people like Donald Trump to end up in office. The 2024 election was decidedly NOT some triumph of Trumps base. In fact Trump got ≈the same number of votes in 2024 than he did in 2020. What it IS is a reflection of how disorganized and misrepresented the Democratic Party is.
Everyone who disagrees with me has just assigned an outgroup label to me like “dipshit” or “pos” or whatever. That’s lashing out lol. You’ll notice I have not retaliated. But this is how people are radicalized. This is how we end up with hate crimes against random minorities. With blanket policies that debase them. Because of people like YOU. Because you are never held accountable for your own reckless non-policies and it can seem the only way to suppress your ignorance is to destroy it.
What the fuck are you even on about? you did not even vote this last election, if you actually cared about this country or anything you are talking about, you’d actually use your voice, instead of letting our current president radicalize random minorities that you apparently care so much about, if you actually cared about that sort of thing, you would’ve voted in 2024, because now our own president is committing hate crimes through ICE, great job
Honestly, every word that you write just sounds like projection, I don’t believe you’ve ever been held accountable, you yourself seem extremely ignorant, and you are definitely dismissive of every single person who has disagreed with you. I don’t know if you think you sound smart, but you sound insane
Here’s the problem: you’re equating being educated with being intelligent. It is possible to be uneducated and intelligent, and it is possible to be educated and unintelligent. They are not one and the same. So no, I am not saying white people are collectively more intelligent; I am claiming they are collectively more educated. This is caused by systemic inequalities. Similarly, education levels are not caused by intelligence. That’s an absurd claim.
I hope you understand what I mean by differences in assumption and definition here. If you assume intelligence *is just*, or *is nothing more than*, education, then I am saying that white people are more intelligent. I don’t think it reasonable to assume that, so I don’t believe I am saying that. As to your other point, yes, I do believe that education *can* make people better decision makers politically. You know what else can? Empathy and compassion.
You make a lot of claims here about laws. But laws are not just political, they are also moral. In fact, everything that is political is based on moral reasoning about collectives and individuals. What is the basis of rights? Moral reasoning. Just because something is a law does not make it moral. In a similar sense, education can make one a better voter—I would not deny that. But so can compassion. Laws don’t exist in a vacuum, they dictate the lives of *humans*.
Laws are about the lives of people. Compassion for other people, as such, would likely make you better at determining which laws will be on the whole better for people, will improve the lives of the people. This seems intuitive. In order to know what will make people’s lives better, you must be able to actually *see* their lives, their struggles. And compassion or empathy are what allow us to truly understand each other. It follows that they would make one a better political decision maker
It’s an important skill to be able to distill an argument into a mere sentence or two. Give it a try, I might be able to figure out what possible issues my statements have if you give me something to go off of. Or I might at least be able to see *where* we disagree. You could also DM me, I suppose. Discourse of this sort is important, and I’d prefer to be confronted about my ideas than just sit on them ignorantly.
This is actually breathtaking. YOU are equating being educated with being intelligent. That is the flaw in YOUR argument lmao. If white people are collectively more educated (which could be perceived as a racist claim itself) but not necessarily more intelligent, then what is wrong with a test that measures intelligence? That’s MY position. It’s like I’m helping you argue with yourself lol
I see the issue. I assumed a test that measures intelligence would automatically be a test of education. I guess that would be my question then: how can you test intelligence in a way that doesn’t simply measure education? Since most intelligence tests are notoriously dependent on education or cultural knowledge.
Yeah, you did lol. It’s an understandable assumption. Of course there is some overlap, but it’s certainly possible to design a test that addresses only certain basic *objective* information about our country and its government and gauges ability to make sound moral decisions with long-term positive benefits for society.
That’s fair. It would certainly be great if we could design such a test. I guess my question would be what information is there about our government that isn’t dependent on your education covering it. Obviously most curricula in the US do cover US history, but the quality and depth range immensely between states and cities. And for testing moral reasoning, you’d have to make sure you’re testing reasoning ability and not the answers themselves.
Yep, totally agree. It would have to be well designed to control for bias. That said, our democracy is not built to favor long term consequences or skilled decision making. Those are subjective. It’s built to uphold people’s will through representation. Having a test might yield better candidates, processes, etc as you and I see it, but if it’s not objectively popular then it abandons the tenets of our gov. Which yk is why whoever can convince people they’ll get more money is who gets elected
I said that about intelligence tests because it’s frustrating to argue with people who can’t offer more than an ambiguous claim, “orange man bad”, and then a personal insult before leaving the conversation. Yes, Trump is not the kind of person we want anywhere near the White House. But candidates come and go, what matters is the policy they’re instilling for generations of Americans to come.
That is true. It is unfortunately true that a democracy is really just a popularity contest of personality and rhetoric, and the rise of corporate short-termism over the past 40-50 years combined with our traditional inidivualist rhetoric means that most people tend to value short term gains. That and how little people study and understand history, consequently not understanding why we know certain policies just largely don’t work.
Solution-focused discussion is a skill. It has conventions and guidelines for how to actually solve problems through collaboration. And it just pains me to see educated Americans abandon that. I know I’m asking too much of yy lol but this is just how I am. You seem alright though, even if we don’t agree on everything I appreciate working through this conversation with you
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Between work/supporting family and consuming media, the average American doesn’t have enough time in their day to actually collaborate with others to improve their communities. (I have a rant about local politics being overlooked but I’ll spare you). That’s why we end up with these polarizing, oversimplified positions canned into headlines to be lobbed at whoever we perceive as contradicting our held beliefs. We need to be open to real, uncomfy conversations
