you’re just kinda stupid if you get sun burns every time you decide to tan or go out in the sun

photosensitivity from medications and physical differences isn’t uncommon (acne meds is a big one I think), but in a lot of cases it’s just genetics. or carelessness, ofc.

my mom had melanoma twice and im fair skinned, i live in fucking ohio, had to use 100spf zinc sunscreen growing up, and i would still burn. i am an AVIDDD sunscreen wearer #skincare and will always end up getting a little burnt or having tight/sensitive skin after being outside when it’s super sunny. sucks, but at least ive never felt self conscious about how pale i look because ive always been fucking pale 🫡‼️

also reminder to NEVERRRRR USE A TANNING BEDDDD!!!! THEY ARE A CLASSIFIED CARCINOGEN!!! THREE TIMES MORE LIKELY TO GIVE YOU SKIN CANCER AND DOUBLESSSSS THE AMOUNT OF UV EXPOSURE THAT YOUR CELLS SHOULD ENDURE FROM NORMAL SUN EXPOSURE!! IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!!
