The crazy thing is history always repeats its self in some way. Won’t be exact 1 for 1 but will be pretty close. What sucks is we aren’t learning from it

And I can give valid reasons why history is repeating itself. The fact that we have to yell blow whistles and scream when ICE is in our states, cities, and neighborhoods because they are arresting people simply for existing is reason enough to see it. History is repeating itself in the most literal sense. Many people are no longer even safe in their own homes, with ICE going door to door trying to determine who is “supposed” to be here and who allegedly is not.

It’s not exactly repeating in the way you probably think it is. What’s happening here is more like what happened in Hungary after Soviet rule ended than what happened in Germany in the 1930s, or what PiS tried to do in Poland. It’s fascism with a friendlier face, it keeps democracy around on paper, and distracts people with immigrants and queer people

The only difference is that every race is now involved in what we can call a civil war. Many people human beings during this presidency alone have been killed, beaten, and run over simply for existing and for standing up for themselves and others. This has been one of the most violent presidencies we have ever had and Trump has not even been president for more than a year and a month.

How long will it be before people start hiding others in their homes just to protect them? That is history repeating itself. How long will it be before we are stopped almost every single day and forced to verify that we are U.S. citizens? That is history repeating itself.

History is very much repeating like #1 said it happens in some kind of way but it will repeat. Being dragged, shot, pepper sprayed, kidnapped killed that’s a repeat of what happened to black Americans. You may have not experienced it or understand. But you can very much research and compare side by side. Let’s not water down what is actually happening and what has been happening.

My brother in Christ, I am black. Im black AND Hispanic. My father and his whole generation was born before segregation legally ended. I know that all of this has been done before, that itself is a repeat. I was more talking about Trump’s method of specifically fascism. That’s not the Hitlerite method, it’s the Fidesz method, its the illiberal democracy style
