My thing is, If we don’t want other people saying it, then we shouldn’t say it It shouldn’t be ok for anyone It’s a gross word and a terrible name It’s not being reclaimed, it’s being used in a derogatory way because they see us doing it to each other, whether derogatory or not

The word bitch wasn't use for centuries and instilling historical trauma, violence, and oppression. The word bitch wasn't invented bc white people needed a word to weaponize & dehumanize Black people during slavery and segregation. So yes when spoken by a white person even not around black people still inherently upholds that degradation of racism. its just further dehumanizing black people. I hope this answers your question

women are an oppressed community yes but the word bitch wasn't ever used to the extent of dehumanizing people like the n word was. in fact it wasn't used as a derogatory term until fairly recently. it used to be a neutral term to refer to a female dog. the historical contexts are not the same. also its still understandable if someone is uncomfortable around the usage of the word bitch.
