Ended up learning in class that it turns they can’t write it off since it’s not part of the companies income and therefore the company can’t write it off. They can only do so if they say at the register that they’ll match the customers donation or some sort

I used to work at tjmaxx and we had no screen so it was all on us to ask for donations… AFTER begging them to get a store credit card bc managers would write u up for not asking
