Very similar to what made me realize this as-well I’ve had a chronic illness my whole entire life and despite it being documented I’ve been denied treatment multiple times just because they wanna fact check the doctors. I went to Europe never had a single issue and the medication only cost 20 bucks

yooooo holy shit, I’m always so grateful to bump into other chronically ill / disabled strangers with radical politics!! 🤝 seems like a lot of people who haven’t had to deal with this stuff really struggle to wrap their heads around the extent of the injustices we’re up against

shit’s brutal though, I’m sorry you been through all that and for no good reason. I’m pretty sheltered in terms of travel, haven’t even been outside the country as an adult and most my chronically ill friends live here too, so I don’t have much of a comparison point

Totally agree! People don’t understand what it’s like at all and it’s so frustrating to explain sometimes but also I completely understand the travel thing I was scared to leave the country because of chronic pain and I’m not sure how to manage it but honestly in my experience I felt 10x better over there so if you have the chance and your not experiencing any flare ups I would take it! Genuinely I never thought I’d find any relief in my pain but there seems to be so many solutions outside USA
